People. . .

So, on Sunday the men of the church took over all the children's education classes so I was down in the service. Our Pastor talked about how Hannah only wanted a child and that was what her only desire. God finally gave her what she wanted and she praised him and then He told her that He wanted her child back and she said yes and the next morning she got up and praised God. Our Pastor pointed out that not matter what we get in life we are never going to be satisfied because we will say oh I want a new car and we get that car. Then once we have the car we have to have new little gadgets for it. Then we want a house and then it needs to be painted and something isn't as up to par as we'd like so we need a new stove. And the list goes on. So I ask why do we, the Christian society, as a whole get so sidetracked and loose sight of what we are supposed to be doing??? There are so many people that I have ran into lately that are unsatisfied with the blessing that God has given them, yet they say that this is all they want. Then God gives it to them and then its not the right timing for them but who cares if it is Gods timing. I really don't understand some people and their "disapproval" of God's will for their lives. I think I done being on my soapbox for now. Have a good evening!! :)

I agree...on the same note, I don't understand why so many Christians think an answer to their prayers means getting what they want. They seem to fail to realize that God can answer pray in more than one way, He may say yes, He may say no, and He may say not now or wait.
