San Onofre 2008. . .

BEWARE LONG POST WITH LOTS OF PICTURES!

Well, this last weekend Bryan and I along with my best friend, Katie, went camping. :) We were originally going to go to Santa Barbara but then Debbie, my youth pastors from growing up wife, contacted me about a birthday party for Dave!! :) I decided that I HAD to go and changed our reservation to San Mateo Campground. :) We had fun. The campground wasn't nearly as pretty as the one would have been in Santa Barbara but was well worth the trip. :) Here is Bryan setting up the tent and yes I did help but I HAD to snap a picture of course!! :)

We got the tent up successfully! :)

Then we got Katie's up successfully too! :)

After we got the tents up it was time to go to Dave's party and we had some delicious tri-tip and beans. Here Bryan is listening to people tell stories about Dave from through-out the years.

I realize its a bit blurry, I was trying not to use the flash, but here is Dave laughing at some of the stories. ;)

Yet again another blurry picture, man I don't know what my problem was!!! Anywho, this is Debbie and her sister Barbara with their dad, Tony.

Katie, Dave and I as we were getting ready to leave!

After the party we went back to the campsite and started a fire to roast marshmallows of course!!! Here's what it started out to be. . .

Then Bryan got a little crazy! :)

Then I threw in the colors crystals we had!! Oooo so much fun! :)

I just thought it was neat that there was only one piece of wood burning amongst all the coals.

We finally did go to bed and the next morning we woke up FREEZING!!!!! So, once the sun came up we made breakfast. Well, we had intended to make breakfast on the camp stove you see in this picture on bench. Well, Bryan lit it up and there were flames everywhere!!! So, we ended up having to go old school.

While breakfast was cooking Katie thought her car seat was more comfortable and warm so she decided to read her school book there. :)

And finally here is our campsite mess before we left to go to church at Dave's church he is currently serving at! :)
