I know and I am aware that I don't have any kids YET!!! (soon, Lord willing!) But I have been looking into doing cloth diapering it is so much healthier for the child and for the environment and God tells us we are to take care of the earth not destroy it sooooooo, I feel that I am leaning towards using cloth diapers. There has been one friend in particular that has really "pushed" me in that direction and her name is Kayla and she is now making a business of making cloth diapers. So, if there are any of you interested, her business is called Jabernae Cloth Diapers and her site is www.gonecloth.blogspot.com. She will make custom orders and she is a long time Christian friend of mine. Her site also has a lot of good informative information on it regarding cloth diapering. I hope everyone is have a good day!!! :)

Cloth Diapering. . .

I know it has been quite some time since I have had little ones in diapers, but surely I talked to you about how great cloth diapering is, too! :P
I realize but it's been a few years since then and Kayla is currently all about cloth diapers!! ;) And when you were talking about them the thought totally grossed me out!
I would do cloth diapers if I had a diaper service...but, the thought of washing poopy diapers out in a toilet...no thanks! Especially when you have a newborn that poops 5-10 times a day!!! YIKES
My Mom did clothe diapers with all 4 of us kids....she used dydee service. loved it. I wish I had that here in Idaho!
There are pro's and con's to each way you go. With cloth, you use more water to wash the diapers, cleaning supplies and the dryer to dry them. So, you are still using natural resources.
With disposable diapers you are filling up landfills...so either way, you are destroying the earth in 1 way or another. I guess it just depends on which you think is the lesser of two evils!
Actually, there it a DIY diaper sprayer you can make to attatch to your toilet. It took us less than ten minutes. It is SO EASY to just spray off the poop and toss it in the diaper pail (which we have right next to the toilet). Our 14 month old poops for every diaper change, and we have no problem doing this, especially once we researched what's in disposable diapers after her bottom kept breaking down for MONTHS while using every brand there was out there. Go to the link Beckie gave you and look at the facts. It's scary what we've been subjecting our kids to.

This link addresses the whole environmental impact of cloth vs disposable diapers.
Also, like Kayla already said, diaper sprayers rock. Not only that, but it is actually illegal to throw away human feces (as in you are supposed to dump disposable diaper poop in the toilet, too).
